The animated movie Bolt with the voices of Mylie Cyrus and John Travolta is my family’s favorite movie. With just the right amount of action, humor and lovable characters my kids never seem to get tired of watching it.
The story centers on Bolt, the furry canine star of his own action packed TV show. But what makes this plot so interesting is that fact that Bolt believes the television show is real, and that he does indeed possess the superhero powers his television show portrays. All kinds of problems and funny situations follow Bolt when he escapes the TV set and find himself in the real world. With the help of some very funny pigeons in New York City, Bolt meets Mittens the cat and they set off across the country in search of Penny, Bolt’s real owner and co-star. Along the way they encounter Rhino, a hamster who also believes Bolt has real powers! Busting out of the dog pound, feasting in Las Vegas and eventually saving Penny from a burning building are scenes that are funny and exciting. With a happily ever after ending, my kids can’t get enough of Bolt.
The action packed scenes are the best I have seen in quite a while. At the beginning of the movie, we actually are treated to a scene from Bolt’s TV show. The graphics and action are superb! My kids have said many times while watching Bolt on our total choice premier channels that they wish there really was a Bolt show!
